Insecure Vehicle Operation

Dear Residents, 

Police Community Officers from the Neighbourhood Team have been checking parked vehicles for insecurities this afternoon in St Anne's. 

Numerous vehicles have been found unlocked so owners have either been informed at home addresses or Vehicle Security Advice leaflets have been left. 

We appreciate our residents are busy but please take a second to double check your vehicles have been locked, and all valuables have been removed from sight. 

Here are a few helpful tips to keep your vehicles secure.

1, Don't leave valuables on show

2, Hide keys and fobs and keep away from windows and doors 

3, Close door windows 

4, Fit an alarm if not fitted as standard 

5, Install a tracker 

6, Park under street lighting or install intruder lighting on driveways 

7, Consider dash cams with built in alarms/alerts
